  Beach is beautiful. Staff very friendly and helpful. This unit I rented for my daughter. It had a beautiful view but it needs to be updated and they did have a few bugs. I'm sure if we would have told the maintenance they would have fumigated but because there was a baby in the room we didn't want fumigation.

  Great beach location. Minor electrical and plumbing issues, but staff were very responsive to our requests. Unit would be more comfortable with cushions on the porch furniture and a few pillows on the living room furniture.

  Location and views are amazing. Maintenance crew is top notch. Communication is awful/non-existent. New rules for rebooking are inflexible (can’t change unit once you are booked) which is drastically different from previous years. Parking lots flooded due to heavy rain and many cars were flooded - no comment or offer of help from mgmt. Had to get car detailed to remove 10 gallons of water. Units vary in quality and comfort and older units are dated and not everything works (specifically lighting in multiple rooms, front door wouldn’t latch). Furniture worn and stained. Rates going up significantly for next year. Been coming here for over 10 years. Booking elsewhere for 2025.

  We have visited friends who stayed in other units of the resort. We are aware of the conditions of various units in the complex. 2N is substantially below standard. It is very dated, humid, and has a strong musty odour within the unit. Most surfaces i.e.wall, furniture appliances one touches are sticky with grime and felt unclean. During our 2 week stay, We have 3 companions known as lizards inside the unit. They are larger than normal size Geckos seen on the grounds of the property. They live in the unit as they come out of the large gaps between the baseboard and the floor tiles. One lives in the 2nd bedroom, one in the living room, and one in the lanai. They are not timid. The AC stopped working around 40 hours prior to our departure. Around that time, the smoke alarm also went off with ear-piercing alarm with no smoke or fire on the premises. A woman called me back and told me the false alarm is NOT considered as an emergency and I have to live with it. I told her if no one comes to shut it off, we will call the fire department. Sunny came and removed the alarm from the wall as I was unable to reach it. The frying pans' bottom were bulging and convex, and therefore unable to make contact with the cooking surface of the stove, a challenge to cook with them. Kitchenware & glasses are in short supply so we basically have to wash them frequently if we have guests. The beds were substandard and very uncomfortable. Not infrequently, I have to take a Tylenol for neck pain upon wakening. The walk-in shower is not safe as it does not have good lighting &/or a grab bar for those older folks &/or those who do not have good balance. Tiles in the shower stall is sticky with grime and unclean. Water is also extra-ordinary hard. There is one entrance key which works in only 2 out of 3 exterior doors. We are 100% not returning to 2N. A unit that is out of place in such a beautiful surroundings.

Do yourself a favor and stay at island house where white powdered sand ( feels and looks like powdered sugar) is your front yard !! Another amazing stay..

  Our family has been going to Island House for many years. What attracted us to IH was it felt more residential and not crowded. IH has become very popular and now feels very crowded. I sense that some renters have many more people in units than is intended. The management/staff are very professional and helpful. There is a need for twice as many beach chairs (not loungers) than what they have.

  Though, it rained 3 full days and we had to deal with Red Tide, the fact that we were at this property made the experience still wonderful. The city would have trucks pick up the dead fish every morning and that really helped. The room was very comfortable and we truly enjoyed our stay.

  My wife and I stayed in this apartment for two weeks. The view of the palm trees, beach and gulf were spectacular straight from our lanai and the location of Island House was perfect. The unit could use a little updating and the lanai needed a little more attention to cleanliness. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the beautiful sunsets.

  I love the location of the condo. The complex is nice and the beach is beautiful. This condo is steps from the beach and looks out onto the beach. The beach is very wide in this area and not as crowded as other parts of the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with everything that we needed and updated. The condo definitely needs new beds. We found the beds to be very uncomfortable and very old. The bathrooms are nice and updated but the furniture in living room can use some updating as well. The condo was clean. The condo is a few minute drive to Siesta Village with lots of restaurants and shops. Our overall stay was good as we love the beach.
