  We have come to Island House Beach Resort yearly for 30 years. We've stayed in this unit a couple of times. It is clean and well-maintained. It is one of the few not been updated. The kitchen has white older cabinets and green corian countertops, but the view is amazing and what we want! The furniture and Carpet are new and beautiful. The great thing about this unit is that it has two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom, but they both have tubs, which was not ideal for my Mother-in-Law.

  I have been staying at Island house since 1980, this year I had the worst experience of my life. We arrived on Saturday June 29th and Sunday the AC stopped working and would not start. I started to call the emergency number and no answer. I sent numerous texts and still no answers. We had to sleep in an 80 degree apartment all night taking walks several times throughout the night to the car yo sit down in the car and cool off. Monday morning I called the office and reported the situation, the AC was repaired after 1:00pm on Monday. Like it already was not enough on Friday, July 5th again the AC stopped working and again no one answered my texts or calls on the emergency number. We again slept in 80 degrees which caused my blood pressure to skyrocket because of the situation we were in, I didn’t pack up and leave since the next day was my check out because of my blood pressure and exhaustion. I am very dissatisfied with my stay the property management lacked the personnel to answer emergencies and my stay wasn’t enjoyable 3 days wasted because of the lack of guest relations.

  The unit was very clean. It had all the accessories we needed for our vacation. We had a very nice time. The view was amazing. There are a few things I’d like to mention the would make the place more enjoyable.
  1). The bathrooms need updating
  2). The kitchen ceiling fan needs to be fixed. It shakes a lot almost seems it’s going to fall off.
  3). The bedroom (with the blue bathroom) has a light out in the ceiling fan and also the lamp between the twin beds is very loose when you attempt to touch it
  4) There needs to be a ceiling fan and a light outside on the porch.

  We four ladies had another wonderful vacation at our favorite beach--Siesta Keys--last month. We stay in 8N at Island House because it has 4 twin beds, and 2 full baths. It is perfect for 4 ladies.
  
  The beach is absolutely pristine. We feel that Island House is on the best part of the beach. Our unit looks out directly onto the beach from the 4th floor. The sand is so clean that we rarely see any trash at all. We love the walk along the beach into the charming town, where we often go to breakfast. In the evenings, we often walk the other direction for a very nice dinner at one of several locations. When we want to go further, we take the free trolly.
  The unit is somewhat dated, but it is always clean and well supplied. We have a washer and dryer that we share with the unit across the hall (which is rarely occupied when we are there). The kitchen is equipped with all of the essentials, including a dishwasher.
  
  There are 3 televisions, which we rarely watch because we play dominoes or cards at the card table most evenings. The table and chairs on the deck, overlooking the beach, are also a favorite spot of ours.
  
  We sometimes take advantage of the tables and chairs outside the building and occasionally play shuffleboard outside.
  
  Our trips to Siesta Key Island House Beach Resort are such a delight, and provide the opportunity for us to get together from long distances at least once a year. We are so happy to think of it as "our" beach resort.

  We absolutely loved the condo for our stay! The space was awesome, the rooms were perfect and the table in the living area was FABULOUS for our nightly Shanghai card games! We would have used the lanai more if the seating was better. One chair was broken. The other was starting to rip. This did not deter our wonderful experience. I did leave a voicemail and an email for the office but neither message was answered.
