  I've stayed at Island House many times over the years. It's a beautiful location right on the stunning Crescent Beach-white sand that stays cool. It's not crowded in January and easy to get around the island area by car. Common areas are beautifully landscaped after the 2024 hurricanes, and have several tables and chairs outside as well as a nice grilling area. This beach is gorgeous and easy to walk as far as you'd like. January tends to be cooler and windy - especially so this year(2026). I stayed in 13S briefly while the original unit I rented was under some plumbing repair. Firm but comfortable beds, showers were nice. Entire unit is beautifully decorated. The sofas are somewhat saggy but clean. On the lanai, the chairs have higher backs which is nice to lean back, relax and have good head support. Really nice LVP flooring throughout. I'd stay in this unit again. In Siesta Village, The Salty Dog has a great Grouper Sandwich and fries. We drove to Venice, 30 min south, and enjoyed some shopping and lunch at a tavern "T.J. Carney's that had the best hamburger! The Van Wezel theater in Sarasota had Riverdance - excellent performance.

  We had a great week with beautiful weather and warm sand and water.
  This unit 13S was great and very comfortable only needs a recliner to make it feel like home. One issue with A/C but was resolved with Freon charge being low and fixed within a few hours. Corny and the staff was very helpful and friendly

  We have been going to Island House for the past 13 consecutive years and it has always been our highlight vacation of the year. However, this will be our last year staying at Island House because of the change in management, specifically one of the ladies in the front office. The decision was made not to let people swap units once the deposit was paid, so my family (we rent three to four units each year) went to the front office to try and plan next year, but our normal units were being renovated during the same time next year and we all wanted to stay in the same tower. We tried speaking with the front office about possible solutions and the total disregard and indifference we felt was very disappointing. Because we had to decide right there on the spot or lose our first right of refusal, we decided not to rebook. We called back to the office a couple of weeks later to try and rebook, but never received a return phone call. We have since booked at Jamaica Royal for next year and are very sad that we lost our favorite vacation spot.

  The Island House Beach Resort is a wonderful property. It is clean, quiet, and well cared for. All units from the four condo buildings are well arranged and have great views of the ocean. Specifically, Unit 13 South has been recently updated and current. Although our stay was very good and I would go back, the few negatives are worth noting, including: hot water limited to 2 showers, intermittent internet, noisy HVAC unit, and occasional scraping sounds from above when chairs were moved across the tile floors. No deal breakers. Be aware that each unit is the same general layout but each is in a different level of quality. Check out all the reviews and photos to get a good one.

  If you’re looking to stay on the beach, this is a perfect location. From this unit the view of the water is unobstructed and you’re only a few hundred feet from stepping onto the beautiful sandy quartz beach! The furniture and decor in this unit are current, comfortable, and make for a relaxing vibe. The one thing that disappointed a bit were the dated kitchen appliances. The temperature in one part of the fridge was too cold which caused a slight problem. Otherwise, the kitchen is very well appointed with cookware etc. There’s an assigned covered parking
  space adjacent to the building. We visited in mid-October and the weather was perfect. Restaurants, grocery and other stores are only a couple of miles away. This was our second stay at Island House. We’d love to visit again.
