We wanted something quiet on the beach.Yet close to restaurants. This place nailed it.
Additionally the pool, shuffleboard, game room and amazing grill area just added to it.
I probably shouldn't say this, but it was the most private beach I've ever been on...ruined it now lol.

Our apartment 9s was in great shape. The grounds were still under repair as were the villas that were inundated. Give it a year and Island House resort will be back to its idyllic former self.

Hurricane Debby ruined our beach time for the 3 days we were there. That is not the resort’s fault, but the resort should have evacuated the guests and offered refunds for the impacted days.

Most importantly, the windows in our unit (9 south) did NOT have hurricane-impact windows and were shaking uncontrollably during the peak of the storm on Sunday night. My wife and daughter were terrified. Guests in other units I spoke with did not experience the windows shaking like we did.

Also, the area near the car port was flooded even BEFORE the storm.

Finally, on Monday night I accidentally locked myself out of the unit, and there was no employee on site to help me open it. I had to call a locksmith, who charged me $140 to open our door.

Lovely spot. First time staying here. Units are big. Very roomy. Could be a little cleaner. Found food, full cracker actually, crumbs, one shoe and kids toy under coffee table. What? Grounds very clean and neat. Smoke free property is not enforced. Cigars and cigarette butts all around outside tables every morning. Open smoking at common area tables every day.

We loved our stay. A short walk to the beach & pool. Very comfy seemed to be cleaned well also. New beautiful walk in shower in master. Kitchen was well equipped except they could use a few non stick frying pans. One issue we did have was trying to get a hold of the management after we checked out to try and retrieve a very expensive item that we had left behind. Could not get anyone to return a call or text after4 or 5 attempts. Never got the item returned (which we offered to pay for) very disappointing end to a nice vacation.

We were very pleased with the condo. It was updated, showers were great with the rain shower head in the MBR. Beds were clean and comfortable. The two things that would improve the property would be if beach towels were provided, (we wouldn’t even mind if they offered beach towel rental for a small fee.) Beach towels take up so much room in our suit cases, it would be worth paying a fee to “rent” them. The other thing we prefer that wasn’t offered was a washer/dryer inside the unit. There was a washer/dryer free to use but had to share with neighbor. Big plus for us was the tall ceilings.

We’ve been coming to the Island House for many years. We don’t even consider staying anywhere else on Siesta Key. This year we enjoyed staying in 9S! Nicely decorated, clean, comfortable seating, great to be on the first floor, and the view included the beach and beautiful foliage! It was wonderful! We hope to stay in this unit again!

We just got back from the Island House 9S 2 days ago, we had an amazing time and the view of the ocean and palm trees is incredible (especially at sunset!) We love the lanai, ground level beach access, and the private beach (with beach lounge chairs included!) for all Island House guests. We were there during Spring Break and St Patricks Day; however, you wouldn’t know it with the privacy and space on the private beach. Parking was covered and another parking space was provided for guests. All of the decor was nicely appointed. The staff at Island House are so easy to work with and very nice people. 9S was very clean. We already booked for next year during the same week.

We come to Siesta Key as often as possible and Island House is always the preferred place to stay. The design of the condo buildings gives every condo unit a great view of the Gulf. Crescent Beach is as beautiful as it gets. We've stayed in several units over the years; this year was 9S and it delivered - very bright and clean. Nothing beats morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the lanai.

The family was able to get away for a second time to Siesta Key/Island house after being there during the end of May. This apartment was beautifully furnished and the weather was perfect during our stay. Being on the bottom floor right on the beach with ocean views all day is the best therapy. Thank you
