  We stayed for a week during spring break. Condo was nice, had everything we needed,even an icemaker in the freezer. VIew was fantastic! The owner of the unit stopped by to give us a loaf of her homemade(delicious) poppy bread as a thanks for us allowing contractors to quickly replace a window in our unit, which was no hassle at all. She was very sweet and thankful for us allowing this during our stay. Would definitely again!

  Grounds look prettier. Many units being remodeled with scaffolding up. I did not realize this unit had 3 large glass panels in the balcony boarded up. We pay a lot of money to stay in a place with boarded up windows, missing screens, missing ceiling fan in the balcony (so you can’t sit out there it’s a sauna), and the AC unit is not being maintained. If the drainage tube is being flushed monthly you wouldn’t have a clog that results in leaking into the unit below. It was also quite upsetting to come back to my unit and find a man working in the AC. I received no phone call or email letting me know so I could be there. They don’t have a safe so there was no opportunity to secure my belongings. When I asked why I wasn’t called, I was told you didn’t have my number. Really? I’ve been coming here for years. When I asked why I wasn’t emailed I was told it was an emergency. Really? One man vacuumed my unit and the AC guy came by a little while later and took 5-10mins to fix the emergency!! He cleared the drainage pipe with water.
  There must be a great deal of dust from repairs in the AC units because several of us by the second night needed antihistamines to address sneezing, congestion... this was across a few units. In addition in the master shower there is quite evident mold growing in between the tile. One of my towels has men’s bears clippings on them. So I’m wondering with all of the “clean up” we are required to do before we leave, what level of cleaning is really happening? I have given feedback in the past about units not being properly cleaned.
  My family has been coming here for years so I’m proving this honest feedback for true hope for improvement.
  Honestly my stay has been better in the past. I didn’t not find reception to be warm, welcoming, customer service focused.

  We have been vacationing at Island House for many years and love it. Recently we have been disappointed in the loud music on the beach. It clearly states in the rules that this is not allowed. When we complained to management, nothing was done. At one point we had 4 different genres going all around us. We like to enjoy the calm ocean waves.

  Only a few things. The cable box in the lr wasn’t working but no big deal. The sliding door and the screens on the balcony could by updated. They were a challenge to open and close.

  This is our 8th year in this apartment and there have ben quite a few improvement over these years. This year included a new guest bathroom, a new refrigerator, a new king mattress, new interior windows (not yet new on the porch) and all new paint throughout. Kitchen lighting was replaced when we were there. The apartment is very comfortable but would benefit by having pull-down shades on the porch. The porch is our favorite space, but too bright and hot in the afternoon. Shades would make it usable all day.

  We have been coming to Island House for years now and have always enjoyed the resort. The condos are well cared for and well stocked. Every condo has a huge view of the Gulf. Any kind of help needed during our stay is promptly taken care of by staff. We have started renting the canopies and I love the fact that I can stay out on the beach for the day and still have shade.   We have stayed at Island House many times and are never disappointed. We always stay in one of the condos and they are wonderful. The location is great. The management at Island house does a great job of maintaining the property and responding to the few issues that may arise. Siesta Key is full of wonderful things to do including really good and fun restaurants. The beach is wonderful. Highly recommend Island House but make reservations well in advance as they book up quickly. Also, a good idea to call in advance and get the number of the company that sets up umbrellas and cabanas and make arrangements prior to arrival as these also sell out well in advance.

  We walked in and immediately said "Wow!!! this is perfect!" it is one of the best views on SK..the property was very low key and willing to assist us with the few things we needed..detergent, extra soap, trash bags, etc. I will say this unit needs updated windows and a major thorough professional cleaning company. The important things were cleaned like the bathrooms, and kitchen, but windows had kids dirty prints on them, and the kitchen cabinets were dirty with old sticky food on some cabinets..the utencils are older and not high quality, but you have your necessities and thats all we cared about, but next year will bring windex and paper towels. It would be nice to have a carpet to wipe sand off.even if it is right at the door entry way. With all that being said, we still booked it again for next year because you cannot beat the view and that feeling of the wind blowing through the condo and hearing the waves!

  We enjoyed the closeness of the beach and the ability to look out from the lanai and watch the water. Good sized lanai, good sized condo, well stocked kitchen but would have liked dish detergent to be provided. The windows are showing their age and rattled loudly in the wind. Some of them did not have any latches and we crafted some shims to keep them closed tightly. I would have liked a peep hole in the front door. The ceiling fans that we used were quiet. The toilet in the master bathroom had a loud screech and we kept having to reach in and "fix" the problem. The morning that we left we discovered that the AC wasn't working and the thermostat needed new batteries. I stopped by the office on our way out, but the man "running" the office didn't seem to care, and told me the office was closed. All of the small issues aside, I would visit here again as I took all of this in stride and was flexible with it, but the unit could use some attention.

  We have been vacationing at Island House for many years. Sad to find this Unit has been allowed to get run down. Den furniture was broken, the kitchen was poorly equipped, shower doors rusty and the blue wall paint is garish and dated, etc. Plan to return, but will look for a different Unit.

  If we say how awesome this place was, then it will be harder to book for us in the future! But the truth is this was one of the nicest vacations we have had. The view was astounding. Perfect level on the 3rd floor to see the whole beach and not see any neighbors in a deck next to you! The unit is huge and the views continue into the bedrooms too. Wifi worked great and there was a small desk area in the modern big kitchen so I could do some work. Being here it was difficult to do any work however. We walked to Siesta Key Beach, but don't worry the sand and water at Cresent Beach is the same and it is much more private. Use the chairs and lounges from the resort and just drag them out to your spot for the day. Parking was awsome. Close to plenty of restaurants too.
  This is probably the best unit at the resort! We have found our annual home on Siesta Key, no need to look any farther.
